4 songs from the Saffron songbook recorded throughout 2023 make a late appearance, following the dissolution of the song-based band into the improvising project of Public Universal Friend. Taking cues from the VU and Can, Saffron as a band was primarily focused with playing live, with no set ever repeated, no song played the same twice, and new material and covers frequently pursued. These songs present the pop angle of the band, inspired by the songwriting dynamism of bands like Yo La Tengo, or more contemporary acts like Gun Outfit. Of the countless transformations that these songs underwent (live and in practices) here are 4 of those variations, set in stone.

The group was, for the majority of it's existence, comprised of:

Ali Mehraban Ramirez (Guitar, Vocals, & Songwriting),
Galia Shakked (Guitar and Vocals),
Audrey Lobe (Drums),
Ryan Ebaugh (Guitar and Saxophone),
Cameron Rogers (Bass).
